And now it hits her
She will have to deal with her mother
She HATES her mother and wants nothing to do with her, to be far far away from her
The reality is that she’s a currently single mom in her hometown where her mother helps her a lot with her daughter. She wants to shield her daughter from grandma’s influence, because of how she is, especially as her daughter begins to catch a glimpse of puberty.
Does it have to be this way forever? Of course not, her rational mind says.
She hates her mother for what she did to her spirit
She was blind to the offenses to the dignity of her daughter’s spirit,
she did her best, compassionate heart says,
She’s shaky and tired and enraged
Beyond her own past enragements
At the patriarchy, at the anthropocene, climate change, all the horrors of living in contemporary America today.
At capitalism
At inequality and injustice And marginalization. She’s been living quite a marginalized life. And being a natural fringe dweller and shape shifter, she’s managed so far. Until now. She’s confronted with the smack down. She’ll have to adapt one way or another. She’s quite adaptable in some ways, not so much in others, she’s finding.
It’s a moment of truth, and deep self inquiry having revealed something she didn’t really want to know. But must have needed to know on some level as she sought to know in the first place. She didn’t want to know. She doesn’t want to know.
Be impeccable with your word. As our words are creative. Once this is known, the motivation to improve one’s communication skills and to stop complaining becomes clear.
